On 22 April, the multimedia marathon #OnePeopleOnePlanet, celebrating the 52nd World Earth Day in Italy, returns. Also a Vaccine for All, among the projects presented.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n

The third edition of the multimedia marathon #OnePeopleOnePlanet, promoted by Earth Day Italy and the Focolare Movement, will start from the “Nuvola di Fuksas” Congress Centre in Rome. 14 hours broadcast in live streaming on Raiplay and deferred by Vatican News to celebrate the <\/span>52nd United Nations World Earth Day <\/b>and to launch a strong message of hope and a decisive call to action for the protection of the planet to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The \u201crelay race of voices and hearts\u201d – as the organizers call it – will start at 8:30 a.m. on 22 April and continue uninterruptedly until 10:30 p.m. The splendid Auditorium of the Nuvola di Fuksas – made available free of charge to the organizers by the Assessorato all’Ambiente di Roma Capitale, in collaboration with the IX Municipio – will welcome hundreds of guests in attendance and connected from different parts of the world. A great spectacle and a great laboratory of dialogue that will cross the infinite worlds of art and culture, sport and entertainment, education and entertainment, science and innovation, current affairs and debate… to rediscover the full meaning of life, from the cultural roots that characterize us to the future that unites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

At the center of the marathon are young people, the real protagonists of the great environmental issue<\/b> who, since last year, have been <\/span>officially involved by the United Nations in the climate negotiations<\/b>, with the COP Youth, desired and promoted by the Italian government.<\/span> \n \n\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Among the projects presented was also A Vaccine for All, the money-raising programme to concretely promote the <\/span>universal right to care and the internationalism of vaccines<\/b>, born from the #daretocare 2020 campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

A Vaccine for All contributed to the support of the river hospital Barco Hospital Papa Francisco, which serves more than 1,000 communities along the <\/span>Amazon River<\/b>. In particular, Covid kits for <\/span>hygiene and virus prevention<\/b>, protection and care materials during and after the disease, and basic food aid were distributed. In addition, through the International Centre for Child and Public Health (ICPH) in <\/span>Coimbatore, rural India<\/b>, the program will support citizens in the procedures to obtain vaccinations (many of them do not have access to the booking portal). It will also carry out <\/span>prevention and awareness-raising activities in about 40 villages<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
