This is the hope that emerges from the NetOne Community. This book, a result of the global symposium <em>Togetherness: Media and Communication for Peace<\/em>, held on November 8\u20139, 2024, is the expression of a group of communicators and communication theorists who seek, in a polyphonic way, to stimulate dialogue on the foundational values of ethical communication.<\/p>\n<p>The title <em>Togetherness <\/em>evokes a space of encounter to generate peace through communication. The term, now central in media studies, recalls the sense of closeness and cohesion made possible by the Internet, but also invites reflection on the relational quality of such proximity. Indeed, the symposium\u2019s reflections highlighted the need to rethink the world of life, sociality, and human coexistence within the media and post-media universe.<\/p>\n<p>The collection of writings gathered here includes both theoretical and practical-experiential contributions, sharing a common denominator: the urgency to promote solidarity and reconciliation through the various forms of our communicational ecosystem, inspired by Chiara Lubich\u2019s Charism of Unity. The book embraces diverse fields of research and reflection, ranging from dialogic and generative communication to solutions journalism, from responsible communication to communication for social change, from digital ethics to edu-communication.<\/p>\n<p><em>Togetherness <\/em>was born from a broad and participatory call, bringing together voices, experiences, and reflections from different continents, cultures, languages, and generations. Throughout the editorial process, we shared abstracts, ideas, and collaborative work that now take shape in this digital publication. It is not merely a collection of contributions: it is a living proposal, aimed at valuing the positive and generating relational goods in an increasingly complex media ecosystem (\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>NetOne, founded by Chiara Lubich twenty-five years ago, is a community of communicators established to promote and enhance a borderless space of dialogue, where experiences, projects, and training paths are shared. Through a network of communicators and cultural products, it supports processes of peace, social redemption, environmental care, and the promotion of human dignity, fostering relationships among knowledge, cultures, faiths, and territories\u2014between the virtual and the real&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Elena Coppola, Franco Ropelato e Giuseppina Martinetto (Italia).
